Green Cactus Event Sponsorship Agency is actively seeking a self-motivated, creative, enthusiastic, detail-oriented Sponsorship and Marketing Coordinator to join our team! This position is a part-time support role, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position. 


Green Cactus is a live events sponsorship and marketing agency based in Portland, OR and Fresno, CA. Our agency connects sponsors to events, and brands to customers. We work with both national and regional brands representing nearly 20 events along the west coast such as the national relay Hood to Coast, the Oregon State Fair, and Utah music festival’s Country Fan Fest and Das Energi, among others. Our agency is small but mighty and we are a fun and loyal group.  We love what we do and take great pride in the festivals and events we work with! The Sponsorship and Marketing Coordinator position is responsible for, but not limited to:


  • Assisting Operations Manager with sponsorship proposals, agreements, and recaps.

  • Managing schedule of Agency Director and Operations Manager.

  • Collecting information and assets from sponsors to assist in fulfillment of their agreements.

  • Doing internet research on brands for our event clients.

  • Assist with management of sponsors on-site at events and conferences.

  • Content creation, and management, of agency newsletter.

  • Content creation, and management, of agency social media accounts as well as event clients social media accounts upon request.

  • Answering agency phone, and making calls/appointments on behalf of the agency to events clients and sponsors.


The Sponsorship and Marketing Coordinator is an entry level part-time position that works closely with the agency’s Operations Manager and will allow for earned growth within the company.  We are looking for someone who can commit 14 hours a week minimum (2 days), with up to 25 hours a week. This position also requires some travel and work on-site at events. Compensation is $14.00/per hour. Opportunity for internship credit can be obtained if the candidate is enrolled in college. This position is remote/work-from-home, but in-person will be required from time to time for select meetings and, of course, for working on-site at events. When required to work festivals or events on behalf of the agency travel expenses will be paid as well as daily event pay.  



  • Must be  21+ over, as our agency deals with a lot of alcohol-related brands.

  • Willing to learn, and take direction.

  • Proactive, and dependable.

  • Self-motivated, and self-sufficient as the majority of work is conducted remotely we need someone we can trust will get their work done.

  • Great with people, and able to professionally interact with our team, event clients, and sponsors.

  • Able to communicate professionally via email, with national, regional, and local brands of a high caliber.

  • Familiar with management of social media accounts.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as Google Drive Suite.

  • Comfortable talking on the phone, to discuss agency needs with event clients and brands.

  • Willing to travel, expenses paid, to our clients' events if needed.

  • Love events!


We’d love it if candidate has:

  • Completed at least two years of college in a related field.

  • Previous experience in hospitality, or retail.

  • Interest in sponsorship sales.

  • Experience working with email marketing platforms.

  • Experience with graphic design platform, Canva.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

  • An “eye for design”, and knows what looks good and what doesn’t.
